REPRESENTATIVE ENGAGEMENTS:
Represents two of the nation’s Class I railroads in personal injury litigation, including defense of Federal Employers’ Liability Act claims, claims arising from train/automobile collisions, traumatic injury claims, occupational exposure claims, and property damage claims.
Represents property owners in contractual dispute over transfer of ownership to property.
Prior to joining Setliff & Holland, P.C., Mr. Upton was a litigator in the Richmond office of a large, international law firm where he represented governments, corporations, and other clients in complex litigation matters, including antitrust, energy regulatory, and international trade law.
Mr. Upton is fluent in the Mandarin Chinese language.
